DOTS ARE APPROXIMATE — the meanings are final. The swatches still have to be sampled from Resolve's own Set Clip Color menu so they match what you see in the app.

Clip colors

Every wedding

Colors are how the edit finds its material. Paint every clip you keep — the color says what it is, so nobody has to scrub the timeline to find the first look.

Select the clip (or several), then Mark ▸ Set Clip Color — or right-click the clip and pick Clip Color. Resolve shows these names in English; the grey name under each one is the Spanish Juan sees on his machine.

Nine colors, in the order the day happens. These are the only ones we use — anything else in that menu is not part of the system.

Beigebeige Day or night before the wedding. rehearsal dinner, family arriving, welcome party

Purplemorado The groom — his side of the morning. groomsmen, getting ready, portraits of him alone
Orangenaranja Ceremony, end to end. from guests walking in to the couple walking out
Violetvioleta The couple together. first look, kissing, photo session, cutting the cake not the dances, not the party — those are Navy
